Corporate sustainability is steadily blooming in the conventional African corporate sector. Various leading companies across the continent are ushering in a new corporate culture traversing through their organizational structures and supply chains, seeping into business associations as they work together in accelerating the transition to a sustainable Africa.Majority of these CEOs perceive sustainability as important to the future success of their businesses, as revealed by the KCIC sustainability Initiative study. After my interaction with representatives from businesses and organisations across Africa who are seeking to lay the groundwork for sustainability in their operations– that is, transitioning from general initiatives and strategies to embedding sustainability as a core organizational maxim, the significance of cultural change is increasingly becoming an integral part in this journey.
