Kang, Jikyeong

Jikyeong Kang has been the President and Dean of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), and MVP Chair in Marketing since 2015.

Jikyeong is the Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect of the International Advisory Board of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the world’s largest and the most prestigious business education alliance and accreditation body. She is also a Board member of European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), an international 900-member organization of business schools and corporations; and a Council member of the Association of Asia-Pacific Business Schools (AAPBS), providing opportunities for the advancement and development of business and management education in Asia-Pacific.

She is also an Independent Director of Security Bank, one of the Philippines’ leading universal banks, and of Kesoram Industries, which is part of the B K Birla Group of Companies in India. In addition, she serves on the international advisory boards of several premier international business schools.

In 2017, Jikyeong received The Asia HRD Award for Contribution to Organization. This award is bestowed upon individuals who have built their success on innovative systems, processes, and practices which have impacted overall employee development and productivity with an accompanying effect on the bottom line. Jikyeong also received the Brand Laureate Best Brands’ International Brand Personality Award in 2018. With her leadership, AIM was given the 2019 Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award for Corporate Excellence in Education and Training for demonstrating sustainable growth, responsible leadership, and operational excellence. Most recently, she was awarded the 2021 Philippines Education Leadership Award, presented by the Asian Confederation of Businesses and endorsed by the World Federation of Academic and Educational Institutions, which is to recognize the excellence in application of leadership principles to education.
