Vig Knudstorp, Jørgen

Mr. Vig Knudstorp is Chairman of the LEGO Group and Chairman of the Foundation and Supervisory Boards of IMD Business School. Born in Fredericia, Denmark, he holds a PhD in economics from Aarhus University, where he began his career as a researcher, and later worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. As Chief Executive of the LEGO Group from 2004 to 2016 he led one of the most studied corporate turnarounds of the century, taking the company from near-insolvency to a sixfold increase in turnover. He is lead independent director of Starbucks, a director of Nike, deputy chair of the LEGO Foundation and chair of BrainPOP.
