Berczely, Gabriel

Gabriel Berczely holds a Doctor of Management degree from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, USA, and an MBA from IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland.

As a businessman, he started, developed and holds 7 companies in Chile in diverse fields, such as consulting, distribution, manufacturing, real estate and renewable energy.

He is currently shareholder and Member of the Board of Camco SA (graphic and commercial paper distribution), Recsol SA (wear resistant bimetallic steel manufacturing and foundry), Baumax SA (Precast concrete manufacturing), Lo Echevers SA (office and warehousing real estate), Aaktei SA (mini hydro energy generation), BLE (photovoltaic energy generation), Airlife SA (ionization – human health) and Oxyion SA (ionization – food safety).  He is also Board Member of Trendy SA (ice cream manufacturing in Chile and Peru) and Frutam (fruit production and distribution in several countries in the world).

Gabriel has not only been an innovator in business, but also in the academic field. In 1992 he started the first Executive MBA in Chile, and in 1996.  In 2000 he was part of the group that started the ESE Business School in Chile, a sister school of the IESE of Barcelona., of which he is still today member of its Academic Council, and Professor of Business Strategy.

Gabriel is Honorary Consul of Hungary in Chile, President of the Sport Frances Golf Club in Santiago, Director of the Golf Association of Santiago, Past president of the Finnish-Chilean Chamber of Commerce, and the Hungarian-Chilean Chamber of commerce, and Past Vice President of the Chilean Field Hockey Federation.
